ABOUT ME
I am a post-doctoral fellow at the University of South Florida. My primary research project focuses on the evaluation of corrosion inhibiting materials applied by impregnation to prevent the corrosion of Post-Tensioned Tendons.
I received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
During my PhD research, under the supervision of Dr. Wenjun Cai, I studied the role of alloy concentration and microstructure on the corrosion and tribocorrosion resistance of two light weight Al and Mg alloys, representing predominantly passive and active dissolution behaviors. I worked also on developing a one step electrodeposition procedure to synthesize aluminum manganese microsandwich structures using a porous polycarbonate membrane template from room-temperature ionic liquid.
Recently, I started as postdoctoral fellow at the Civil and Environmental Engineering in University of South Florida to work in the research group of Dr. Alberto Sagues.
